Meet the Team

Nadine came to dentistry through a love of science and working with her hands, and it shows in her thorough, gentle cleanings. She is from Manila, Philippines, and her first job was a TV commercial for soda pop when she was fourteen.

Outside the office, she is happiest with music, art, and a lively conversation, and her favorite food is Mediterranean cuisine. If she could have any superpower, it would be the ability to fly.

A Los Angeles native, Donta started out as a dental assistant, gave hygiene a try, and never looked back. He never had a bad experience at the dental office as a kid, so trying the field out felt like an easy decision.

When he is not caring for smiles, he is at the gym, gaming, or filming and editing videos with friends and family. Something people don't know about him: he used to stutter so badly as a kid that he wouldn't talk. He still stutters, but not nearly as much. Ask him about breakfast food, or which actor would play him on screen — his pick is Michael B. Jordan.

Sahar, from Benicia, California, chose hygiene to turn a place that can feel intimidating into a calm, safe space for patients.

Away from the office, you will find her reading, roller skating, soaking up the sun, or doting on cats. A fun fact: she was born at Duke Hospital, her favorite food is sushi, and if she could come back as any animal, she would pick an octopus — because they have eight arms and three hearts.

A Long Beach local, Vanessa followed her stepmom into dentistry after hearing how fascinating the field was, and she could not agree more. Her first job was babysitting.

A proud sneakerhead and hockey fan (go, Kings!), she loves time with family and friends. Her favorite food is pizza and tacos with lots of hot sauce — and she would happily eat pizza for the rest of her life.

Gloria, from Lynwood, California, keeps the practice running behind the scenes. Her first job was as a server at the 50s-themed diner Johnny Rockets. Inspired as a child by a dentist and team who clearly loved their work, she is drawn to a job that blends helping people with a great atmosphere.

Off the clock, she is into books, interior design, a good binge-worthy series, and, by her own admission, being an introvert disguised as an extrovert. Her favorite food is Asian cuisine — sweet, savory, great textures, plus a ton of chili paste — and her biggest irrational phobia is driving on cliffside roads.

Jay, a Long Beach native, came to dentistry from a medical front office in search of something new, having first worked as a receptionist at a medical office.

When Jay is not coordinating your visit, it is reading, painting, or a DIY project. Something people don't know: Jay is very scared of large bodies of water, after almost drowning at a young age. Favorite food: any kind of pasta, and the dream teleport destination is Bora Bora.

Eddy, from South Gate, California, moved over from the medical field to broaden his horizons, and he is often the first friendly voice you will hear. His first job was at Forever 21.

A dancer and self-professed film geek, he once spent three years on a soccer team and seven on a swim team. He will happily talk you into a bowl of pozole — and the worst fashion decision he ever made was skinny jeans.
